Changes

It's been such a long time since I've posted anything. To say that the last few months have been busy is an understatement. The summer has flown by and I'm trying very hard to catch up with the things that I love doing. I haven't picked up my camera for quite some time. I hate it and I'm planning on getting better about having it with me! Here is one picture that we managed to get. Khoa was in the tub and this is all we could see! So cute!

I took this picture last summer. My husband was giving our niece a kiss goodbye. I'm so thankful I clicked at the right moment!

Left Overs.....

A squirrel must have forgotten about a piece of corn that he had stowed away, or it had fallen out of its hiding place. It was resting nicely on a piece of bark on the side of the tree. In the first picture it is the little yellow speck on the far right side of the picture. About half way down the picture.

The second picture is a close up of how it was laying. I am proud of this little find. Not something you see every day.

Look at that smile!

The Shutter Sisters post today discusses how taking a picture of someone without showing any or part of the face totally changes the focus of the picture.

This is a picture of my son I took about a month ago for a scrapbooking project and I was very pleased with the results. You can't miss the focus of this photo! Beautiful smile and MISSING TEETH! We adopted our son from Vietnam in Dec. 2006 (he was 3 1/2 yrs. old) and when we arrived at the orphanage we discovered that about half of one of his front teeth had been broken off. When we got back to the US we had him checked out and he had been living with exposed nerves!!!! Since he was only 3 1/2 yrs. old, our Dentist suggested that we just pull both front teeth (the gum above the other front tooth was infected) instead of doing major dental work on baby teeth. Soooo, if you ask our son what happened to his two front teeth, he will tell you he broke them and now they are in a box. He will then let you know that he will have to be 7 or 8 before his teeth come back and that's a REALLY LONG time from now. It's really sweet!

"Live Forever"

"Live Forever" true to it's name! Spring is here.... I guess this also shows my lack of gardening skills since I haven't pulled the old stalks out from last fall!! :-(

I've found a new blog that I just love! Shutter Sisters. I love their insight and ideas. Today's challenge is to "get a new perspective" when taking a photograph. I'm no photographer, but I LOVE to take pictures trying to capture "everyday life". So, I've created this blog to play a little. Post pictures that I love and see if anyone else likes them too! I hope you enjoy them.

My attempt to "get a new perspective" ~
